Central North and Central South Region of Lajna Ima'illah USA consists of ten Local Majalis. These two regions host many Jama'at and Lajna Local, Regional, and National events.

Individual efforts, events and highlights of all Majalis will be posted on this page.

World Crisis and The Pathway to Peace”
VA Central Interfaith Event

By The Grace of Allah Almighty, VA Central Lajna was able to hold a successful interfaith event on 8th February 2014 at Masjid Mubarak.

The purpose of this particular event was to promote Huzoor's  (aba) book, World Crisis and the Pathway to Peace, and spread its message to the influential members of the community.



We started to work on this project at end of November. We designed a flyer invitation with Huzur’s book as a background and featured three questions to catch the audience’s attention:

  • How to save the World from destruction?
  • How to create true peace and harmony in the world?
  • What is the role of Religion in promoting justice, freedom, human rights, and peace? [Read more]

 

VA-Central Lajna and Nasirat Meena Bazaar

In June 2013, VA Central Lajna & Nasirat held first Meena bazaar at their newly built mosque, Masjid Mubarak. Central Regional Sadr, Naseerah Bhatti Sahiba officially opened the event with a ribbon cutting ceremony, silent prayer and opening remarks.

Lajna members had several stalls such as new household items, clothes and food items such as chaat papri, samosas, naan-Kabab, Pizza, gulab Jamun, sabz Chai and cold drinks... [Read more]

 Blood Drive at University of Maryland

Laurel Lajna organized a blood drive on December 4th, 2013 under the banner of Muslims for Life conducted by Red Cross. The blood drive took place at University of Maryland, College Park in Prince George's room of Adele Stamp Union.  By the Grace of Allah Almighty it went very well. Report on Central Region Youth Day July 16, 2011. 

Assalamo Alaikum,

Central Region Youth Day was held July 16, 2011 at Baitur Rahman Mosque. 48 youth attended the event. The following is a break down of events from the day:

 9:00 am to 10:00 am: Sign in and Breakfast.

 10:30am to 12:30: Talawat—verses from Holy Quran were recited on requirements of Purdah.

                               Welcome—girls were welcomed by National Youth Secretary. They introduced themselves and were asked what they like or disliked about the recent U.S. Jalsa. There was a resounding preference for the men’s speeches over the ladies’ program and good comments on the organization and function of the Jalsa. Some girls had attended the Canadian Jalsa and had a few negative comments about their experience. [Read more]
