 Ayesha is the official publication of Lajna Ima'illah USA, named in honor of Hadhrat Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her), wife of the Holy Prophet of Islam (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).  Hadhrat Ayesha was renowned for her piety, character and learning, and is a model and guide for Muslim women for all times.  It is reported that the Holy Prophet said of Ayesha, "Half of your religion (Islam) can be learned through her."

The purpose of this publication is to educate, enlighten and inform its readers on religious, social and political issues with particular emphasis on Islam, and the role of women in Islam.  This magazine provides the members with an opportunity for "Jihad of the Pen" and also serves as an important Tabligh tool.
